Tuesday night in Toledo, the Ohio Bobcats men’s basketball team led by as many as 20 in the second half against the Toledo Rockets. For most of the game, in fact, Ohio held a large lead against the Rockets and looked well on its way to an easy win on the road.
Toledo, however, cut Ohio’s lead little but little over the game’s last 10-plus minutes. Toledo scored on seven straight possessions and tied the game at 74 with 3:40 left in regulation. Ohio finally escaped with a 81-79 win.
With 17.1 seconds left, junior forward Tony Campbell stole the ball with Ohio up by two, and the Bobcats scored to take a four-point lead.
