Early in 2018, the Ohio Bobcats had their struggles. Disappointing losses against Cincinnati and Mid-American Conference opponent Northern Illinois started to raise major question marks on whether Ohio was as good as thought in the preseason.
Jump to the end of October, and Ohio has improved to 5-3 overall with a 3-1 conference record. Back-to-back victories over Bowling Green and Ball State have seen the defense finally shine and the offense produce consistently over four quarters. Against Bowling Green on Oct. 20, Ohio won 49-14, and five days later the ’Cats pounced again for a 52-14 win.
Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich remarked after both wins that his team played completely on offense, defense and special teams for the entirety of the games.
