With 35 seconds left, and the Ohio Bobcats well in control against the Kent State Golden Flashes, junior forward Tony Campbell pulled from well beyond the three-point line and splashed in a three-pointer. The three, which gave Campbell his 23rd point of the second half, ignited a packed Convocation Center.
Campbell, always the showman, put three fingers up to celebrate the made shot and basked in the cheers at half court.
“That’s my shot,” Campbell said after the game.
Ohio beat MAC East front-runner Kent 72-61.
For the game, Campbell finished with a season-high 28 points on 11-19 shooting to go along with seven rebounds.
