Antonio Campbell’s breakthrough season didn’t end with the Bobcats’ last loss.
Campbell, a junior forward out of Cincinnati, was named a 2015-16 Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American on Thursday.
Campbell, the 2016 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, became just the fifth player in Ohio University men’s basketball history to earn All-American honors. He joins a list that includes Frank Baumholtz (1941, Converse First Team), Walter Luckett (1975, Helms Honorable Mention), Gary Trent (1995, AP and UPI Honorable Mention) and D.J. Cooper (2013, AP Honorable Mention and Lou Henson; 2012, Lute Olson).
Campbell was one of 40 players nationally to earn honorable mention recognition.
