Buffalo – along with poor shooting and turnovers – halts Ohio women's 12-game winning streak

The high-flying Ohio University women’s basketball team fell to earth Wednesday evening in Buffalo, falling to the Bulls 51-43.

Poor shooting and turnovers led to an abrupt end to the Bobcats’ 12-game winning streak. This was the Ohio women’s first loss on the Mid-American Conference schedule.

The ’Cats (17-4, 9-1 MAC) will need to pick themselves up this Saturday and play Northern Illinois at the Convocation Center in Athens. The game starts at 11:30 a.m.

Against Buffalo (11-9, 3-6 MAC), Ohio was led by Kiyanna Black, who scored 12 points, going 4 of 21 from the field, 3 of 13 from three-point range and 1 of 4 from the free-throw line.
