Bowling Green announced the firing of third-year head coach Mike Jinks late in the day on Sunday. The Falcons (1-6, 0-3 Mid-American Conference) let go of the 43-year old Jinks in the middle of his third season. BG was 7-24 under his watch.
Carl Pelini, in his first season as the Falcons’ defensive coordinator, was announced as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
