The Ohio University men’s basketball accepted an offer to play in the 2016 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) on Sunday night.
The Bobcats will face the University of Albany in a first-round game on Wednesday night, starting at 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.
The CBI brackets were announced by the Gazelle Group, which has produced the postseason tournament since its inception in 2008.
The CBI is a 16-team tournament, with all the games played at campus sites of the higher seeded team. It is a single-elimination bracket until the Championship Series — between the final two teams — which is best-of-three format at alternating campus sites.
