Whether it was the heat, and a long afternoon spent looking directly into a blistering sun, or the simple fact of what he was seeing on the field, Frank Solich didn’t elaborate.

Ohio survived a visit from FCS foe Howard for a 38-32 win on Saturday afternoon inside Peden Stadium. The Bobcats (1-0) are undefeated after the first game, but look far from a finished product.

The Bison (0-1) led the entire first half, piled up an absurd 645 yards of offense, and still had a chance to spring a big upset in the closing minutes.
