Brown, Ohio’s senior linebacker, dodged a major penalty in a tight fourth quarter — then administered the coup de grace — as the Bobcats took apart Miami 17-7 inside Yager Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Bobcats (3-2, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) never got on track offensively, but also never trailed. Miami (0-5, 0-1 MAC) was battered, beaten and smothered by Ohio’s defense, which turned in a dominating showing.
“The defense played their tail off today man. I’m so proud of them,” said Ohio quarterback Greg Windham, who had his worst day this season as the Bobcat starter.
