Sure, the Bobcats beat Miami — again — on Saturday to claim their 10th win in 11 tries against their biggest rival.
And yes, Ohio (3-2, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) won by issuing a fine defensive performance. It was the Bobcats’ best effort of the year on that side of the ball, Ohio head coach Frank Solich admitted during his weekly press conference at Peden Stadium on Monday.
But the best defensive effort of the season was weighed against what was simply the worst offensive performance of the year from Ohio. The Bobcats managed less than 200 yards, and only 56 through the air, in the victory.
