Bobcats' QB depth takes a hit

The Bobcats could have less quarterback depth than anticipated this fall.

John Kampf, a sports reporter with The News-Herald (news-herald.com), reported on Monday through his Twitter feed that Conner Krizancic has essentially retired from football.

Krizancic is a third-year sophomore quarterback with the Ohio University football team. A graduate of Mentor HS in northeast Ohio, Krizancic originally signed with Minnesota out of high school and then transferred to Ohio in 2015.

Kampf cited a conversation with Krizancic’s father, Bob. According to Kampf, Bob Krizancic told him that his son was giving up the game of football because of concerns regarding concussions.
