TOLEDO, Ohio — The Bobcats had a big back who refused to go down, and a plucky young quarterback who refused to stay down.
Coupled with a defense that refused to bow down, it was enough for Ohio to post a tough-as-nails 31-26 win over Toledo inside a stunned Glass Bowl on Thursday night.
With the victory, the Bobcats also put to rest the program’s nearly 50-year skid at Toledo. The win was the first for Ohio at UT since 1967.
“This is a special win,” Ohio head coach Frank Solich said. “I think that feeling is there for our players.
