The Bobcats never trailed, and never led by fewer than four points after opening the game with an 8-0 salvo.
But with Radford, a gritty bunch with two wins over power conference teams already this season, nothing was going to come easy for the Bobcats.
“We weren’t a lamborghini tonight. We were a pickup truck. Just grind, grind, grind,” said Ohio head coach Saul Phillips. “It kind of fits us.”
It also fits burly senior forward Doug Taylor. Taylor had seven points, a career-high 16 rebounds and just as many hits to the floor as the Bobcats held off the Highlanders, 78-69, inside the Convocation Center on Saturday.
