This is the first part in a series of stories designed to examine and analyze the 2018 Ohio University football team, and then take a look ahead at what is in place as 2019 begins.
When looking at the 2018 Bobcats, you have to start with the offense. It was, by nearly every metic, the best in program history.
The big picture numbers put up by Ohio (9-4) in 2018 were, well, big. The Bobcats scored 521 total points, averaged 40.1 points per game, gained 466.8 yards per game, and averaged 7.0 yards per play. All four numbers were the best recorded in the history of the program, and all four metrics ranked inside the top 18 across the country.
