NASHVILLE — Hounded by foul trouble most of the game, Ohio’s Kiyanna Black had plenty of gas left in the tank for a critical fourth quarter push.
And teammate Jasmine Weatherspoon keyed a strong defensive effort that backed up Black’s late push.
Together, it added up for a milestone win for the Ohio University women’s basketball team n Friday in day one of the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament.
Ohio, which trailed at the half, and again with three minutes to go, closed the game with an 8-0 run and downed Indiana, 63-56, inside Memorial Gymnasium on Friday afternoon.
