None of this will happen, obviously, but the Bobcats (8-2, 5-1 MAC) have been enjoying their success, and after defeating Toledo (8-2, 5-1 MAC) 38-10 at Peden Stadium on Wednesday night, the feeling got sweeter.
Last season, Ohio beat Toledo in Toledo for the first time since 1967. The Bobcats hadn’t shot down the Rockets at home since 1988. Ohio also had not defeated Toledo in consecutive years since 1967-68 when Ohio won its last MAC title.
While the Bobcats put up their expected big numbers, with the offensive line excelling, Ohio’s “D” was suffocating.
Toledo has been one of the top offenses in the MAC, and Ohio’s defense allowed only 10 points, a season low for the Rockets.
