The Ohio Bobcats fought valiantly but ended up losing the Dollar General Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, Friday night to Troy, who now boast an 0-2 record against Ohio in bowl games.
The 28-23 Ohio loss was plagued with turnovers from the start, with a total of seven from both teams.
Ohio had an aggressive strategy, throwing the ball more than usual. QB Greg Windham threw for 23 completions out of 47 attempts, 315 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. WR Jordan Reid helped key the Bobcat offense, catching 12 receptions for 162 yards and one touchdown. RB Papi White entered the starting lineup as the Z-wide receiver to goose Ohio’s short passing game.
