With practices ramping up this week in preparation for the 2015 Camellia Bowl, two things have stood out while watching the Bobcats.
First, there’s noticeably more pep from several of Ohio’s front-line players. Second, there’s now more substituting going on.
Both are the results of a substantial break from the wear-and-tear that goes into a college football season. Ohio (8-4) finished the regular season on Nov. 24 at Northern Illinois. The Camellia Bowl takes place on Dec. 19. The 25-day gap has served as a revitalizing tonic for the Bobcats, who did not have a full bye week during the season.
