Historically speaking, no other team in the Mid-American Conference has presented as difficult a challenge for the Ohio Bobcats as the Central Michigan Chippewas. The two teams will clash Tuesday night in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where an Ohio win would clinch the Bobcats’ first MAC Championship game appearance since 2011.
The MAC-East leading Bobcats (7-3, 5-1 MAC) are currently riding a three-game win streak but have lost their last two meetings with Central Michigan. The ’Cats are just 5-23-2 all-time against the Chippewas (5-5, 2-4 MAC), which marks their lowest win-percentage against any MAC foe.
“We have just found it tough, and I think other teams have found it to be tough as well,” Ohio head coach Frank Solich said.
