Bobcats face Bulls in MAC quarterfinals

It wasn’t on the floor, and neither likely lost any sleep over it. Their primary concern is, and always has been, what happens when the ball is tipped.

But as the Bobcats begin the 2016 Mid-American Conference women’s basketball tournament the pressure to keep winning only increases. Ohio, the reigning MAC Tourney champions, will take aim on another title — and the trip to the NCAA Tournament that goes with it — beginning Wednesday.

Ohio is 24-5 and is the tournament’s No. 1 seed, and the Bobcats have collected back-to-back regular-season championships. Ohio has already secured an automatic bid to the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) as a back-up plan.
