BOWLING GREEN — The Ohio baseball team saw a comeback bid come up short on Friday.
The Bobcats lost their Mid-American Conference series opener at Bowling Green, 5-4.
Ohio trailed 3-0 after two innings, and 4-1 after three. The Falcons led 5-1 after the fifth.
Ohio scored three in the eighth to cut the deficit to one run, but couldn’t bring the tying run across home plate.
Ohio falls to 15-18 overall with the loss, including 4-6 in conference games. Bowling Green improves to 12-22 overall, and 3-7 in the MAC.
