Bobcats derailed at BG

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Given an opportunity to step forward and claim a share of first place in the Mid-American Conference, the Bobcats instead stumbled back into bad habits.

The Bobcats couldn't hold a 10-point first half lead, couldn’t get a stop in the second half, and couldn’t leave the Stroh Center with anything other than frustration after Bowling Green sprung an 87-82 upset Tuesday night.

The Falcons snapped a seven-game losing skid — including a six-game slide on their home floor — and cooled off the red-hot Bobcats at the same time. Bowling Green (14-14, 5-10 MAC) pillaged the Ohio defense for 51 second-half points, and shot a gaudy 60.
