KENT — Knocked down, run through and over all season, the Bobcats finally came up with a clutch defensive stop.
Ohio opened conference play with a tough-as-nails 27-26 decision over Kent State inside Dix Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win was the second in a row for Ohio (3-2, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) and the 100th for head coach Frank Solich (100-73) with the Bobcats.
“This was a tough one. If they’d all been like this, I’m not sure I’d made it to 100,” Solich said.
