When the season began five months ago, the Bobcats had one simple goal.
Get better, preferably every day.
Now in the season’s final week, Ohio (19-9, 10-6 Mid-American Conference) finds itself with another one.
The Bobcats face a make-or-break opportunity Tuesday night when they travel to Akron (22-7, 11-5 MAC) for a showdown at James A. Rhodes Arena. If the Zips win, they’ll lock up a MAC regular-season title and claim the No. 1 seed for the 2016 MAC Tournament. If Ohio wins, it will climb into a share of first-place and could lock up a regular-season title with a win in the finale at Miami.
