With the 2018-19 season closing in, Ohio men’s basketball coach Saul Phillips is optimistic last year’s injury issues are behind the Bobcats.
Now two weeks into full preseason prep, just one player — senior guard Jordan Dartis — has yet to be cleared for full-go status in practice. Every other scholarship player, including sophomore forward Jason Carter, redshirt freshman Ben Vander Plas, junior guard James Gollon and senior wing Gavin Block, are going without restrictions.
It’s a healthier, and deeper, roster than Ohio had to deal with for most of last season. And for Phillips that means the Bobcats will be better.
