Bobcat men win second in a row, prevailing after close second half

Ohio’s second-half surge kept the Bobcats and the visiting Ball State Cardinals playing hard until the final buzzer. Neither team had a lead larger than four points in the final 17 minutes of game time as the Ohio men pulled out a win, 78-74.

After trading leads, Ball State (11-9, 2-5 Mid-American Conference) led Ohio 74-73 with 2:34 in the game. Another score didn’t come until just 39 ticks left on the clock when senior Gavin Block converted a three-pointer for a 76-74 Ohio lead.
