Photo by Michael JohnsonThe Ohio Bobcats had their worst performance of the season at the worst time. In Tuesday evening’s Mid-American Conference basketball opener, the Bobcats fell 75-50 to the conference-leading Central Michigan Chippewas.
Fifty points from the Bobcats (7-6, 0-1 MAC) was their lowest point total of the season. The previous low was 61 points scored in the season-opening victory over Alabama A&M on Nov. 11. Ohio shot 35.7 percent from the field against Central Michigan (12-2, 1-0 MAC), which was the second-lowest mark of the year.
