The Ohio Bobcat men clinched the No. 2 seed in next week’s Mid-American Conference Tournament Friday night by beating East Division rival Miami 69-55 at the Convo.
They did it with freshman forward Jason Carter producing his fifth double-double of the year in the 2016-17 regular season finale. He had 16 points to go along with a career-high 17 rebounds.
The Bobcats (19-10, 11-7 MAC) clinched the No. 2 seed and a bye to the quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament presented by VisitMyrtleBeach.com for the second year in a row after posting a conference record of 11-7 for the second-straight season.
