Bobcat foe Saturday winless despite playing teams close

One final non-conference game of the year awaits the Ohio Bobcats in Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon. Ohio (3-1, 1-0 in the MAC) will have a final tune-up against UMass (0-5), which is an independent team without a conference.

A win for Ohio would put the Bobcats at 4-1 for the first time since 2015. That team started 5-1 before suffering a three-game losing streak in Mid-American Conference play.

The Bobcats are traveling east after a 27-20 double-overtime victory over Eastern Michigan last Saturday in Ypsilanti. The Eagles and Ohio were evenly matched and had nearly identical stat lines in most important areas.
