During the course of the season, Ohio University junior guard Quiera Lampkins notched her 1,000th-career point.
Third-year Ohio head coach Bob Boldon said that was nice, but it didn’t begin to encapsulate the growth Lampkins has orchestrated as a player.
“To limit her as a 1,000-point scorer is really limiting her game,” he said late last month.
“She’s distributing the ball better than she ever has. She’s guarding the ball better than she ever has. She’s rebounding better than she ever has,” Boldon continued. “The 1,000 points is a nice milestone, and a milestone she deserves.
