Baseball wins, softball loses in Ohio's trip to Muncie

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ohio landed a late-salvo to draw first blood in a three-game series against Ball State on Saturday.

The Bobcats scored six times in the top of the 10th inning to down the Cardinals, 12-6, Friday at the Ball Diamond at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.

The win snapped a two-game skid for Ohio (11-14, 2-2 Mid-American Conference), which had lost four of its last five games overall. Ball State (15-12, 2-2 MAC) had a three-game winning streak halted.

Manny DeJesus had two hits and four RBIs, while Mitch Longo added two hits and three RBIs to pace the Bobcats.
