MUNCIE, Ind. — The streak lives.
Senior forward Lexie Baldwin converted a three-point play with 4.3 seconds remaining to lift Ohio to a 68-67 win over Ball State inside Worthen Arena on Saturday afternoon.
It was a furious finish for the Bobcats (17-3, 9-0 Mid-American Conference), who trailed 63-54 with less than three minutes remaining. Ball State (14-5, 6-2 MAC), the MAC West leader, had Ohio right where it wanted them.
And then, suddenly, the Cardinals didn’t.
BSU led 63-54 after Jill Morrison drilled a deep 3-pointer, but the Cards’ demise began soon after that.
