DETROIT — From the conference that brought you ‘#MACtion’ and ‘Embrace the Grind’ comes a new theme for 2018.

During his annual address Tuesday morning during Mid-American Conference Media Day, Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher asked the member institutions in the conference, their athletic departments and all MAC fans to “Fly the Flag” this fall.

Steinbrecher said he’s always thought of the MAC as a bunch of pirates, a group of schools and programs that aren’t respected enough until they go out and take it.
