Last April Daniel Carlson had his named called in the fifth round of the NFL draft. The Vikings drafted him and usually when a kicker goes in the fifth round, he is considered a special player. After two games in a Vikings uniform, he was cut.
Carlson had missed three field goals in a game against Vikings rival Green Bay Packers that ended in a 29-29 tie. Brutal.
Six weeks Carlson was unemployed before the Raiders came calling.
In his first game as a Raiders, he would miss a field goal attempt off the right upright from 45 yards out.
