In the last few days, the Oakland Raiders have brought in two players to possibly back up Derek Carr next season. First, they signed Josh Johnson, who played last season with the Houston Texans. Then, they re-signed E.J. Manuel, who backed up Carr last season.
On Thursday, the same day they signed Manuel back into the fold, the team also sent their scouts to check on another quarterback. That quarterback was Johnny Manziel, who is attempting to play his way back into the National Football League.
A former first-round pick, Manziel washed out of the NFL after only two seasons, serving as one of the bigger busts of the last ten years.
