It’s been a season to forget for Oakland Raiders fans, but Sunday’s performance and ensuing victory over their storied rival Pittsburgh Steelers made their third win of the year even better. The defense (continued) to pay inspired, the offense clicked when it mattered most, and a little luck went the Raiders’ way as they capped off the Sunday afternoon in the win column.
As the season winds down Jon Gruden and the Raiders organization are taking these last few games as a period of evaluation and assessment, as they look towards the continued rebuild. Despite the win Oakland still holds a top-3 pick as their record currently stands, and more importantly we saw continued flashes of the future on Sunday.
