Oakland Raiders guard Gabe Jackson agrees to extension

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, sources within the Oakland Raiders organization have confirmed that offensive guard Gabe Jackson has agreed to terms on a five-year extension worth $56 million.

According to Spotrac, this would make Jackson the third highest paid offensive guard in the league in terms of average salary at $11.2 million per year, only behind teammate Kelechi Osemele and Browns offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler.

Speaking of teammates, the interior of the Raiders offensive line seems to be set for the foreseeable future. Guard play in the NFL has become a premium in today’s league, and the Raiders should be lucky to have two of the best in Gabe and Osemele.
