After two days of inactivity in the legal tampering period and almost 36 hours of inactivity once free agency officially was underway, the Oakland Raiders made their first signing of the offseason in offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse.

Following the departure of Menelik Watson to the Denver Broncos, Reggie McKenzie was in the market for depth at the position. So while Newhouse wasn’t a flashy signing, it was a necessary one.
