Linebacker has not been a position of strength for the Oakland Raiders in some time. Regarding actual off ball linebackers (not edges) the Raiders haven’t had a pro bowler since 1988. Which sounds made up, but sadly isn’t.
And it looks like the Raiders are going into another season with uncertainty at the position. With new faces are stepping in, and Paul Guenther now running the defense. As a former linebacker coach, we can expect Guenther to get the most of out what is on the rosters, but is it enough?
Many fans wanted the Raiders to address linebacker early in the draft, but circumstances led to them to go in another direction.
