When the Oakland Raiders had quarterback Derek Carr drop to them in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, it was the mistake by several NFL front offices to have Carr so low on their draft boards that allowed general manager Reggie McKenzie to steal the promising young passer.
One of those teams was the Houston Texans, who passed on Carr in the early second round just picks before the Raiders selected the quarterback. Allowing Oakland to steal a quarterback who is on the road to becoming one of the top passers in the game.
According to NFL insider Charles Robinson, the Texans had zero interest in Carr going into the 2014 Draft.
