With their sixth round pick, the Oakland Raiders selected Washington Huskies middle linebacker Azeem Victor. Victor was once considered one of the best linebackers in college football, but injuries and suspensions really derailed the end of his career with the Huskies.
However, he is an extremely talented player, and the Raiders just may have found themselves an absolute gem that late in the draft. Victor got his Raiders career started on Friday, as the team’s rookie minicamp kicked off, and it did not take long for him to put some ink to paper.
Victor became the first Raiders draft pick to sign his contract on Saturday, and he is going to be expected to contribute in a big way this season.
