Derek Carr and the rest of the Raiders’ starters will play a little more than a quarter on Friday night, but he and many others aren’t who Jon Gruden needs to evaluate for roster cuts in nine days.
Another battle of the backups will take place for about three quarters at the Coliseum between the Raiders and Packers, a game in which the main storyline involves Jordy Nelson facing his longtime former team for the first time since Green Bay released him earlier this offseason.
