ANAHEIM – Ben Zobrist is easing his way back into baseball activity, but it appears his sore left knee will sideline the A’s second baseman for at least another couple days.
Zobrist, who received a cortisone shot and hasn’t played since Sunday, hit from both sides in the batting cage and stretched with the team on the field before Wednesday’s game against the Angels. On Thursday, he’s scheduled to take full batting practice and test his knee with more rigorous movement.
“I really don’t feel any pain with any of the activity,” he said.
