Vogt's All-Star candidacy nothing to joke about

OAKLAND – Stephen Vogt once again brought his comedic talents to the baseball world, appearing on MLB Network’s “Intentional Talk” and running through his repertoire of impersonations.

Vogt dressed up as motivational speaker Matt Foley, Chris Farley’s epic “Saturday Night Live” character from years ago, and had show hosts Chris Rose and Kevin Millar in stitches. Vogt scored with the Matt Foley portrayal in spring training, when he got in character to present Major League Baseball’s 2015 rules changes for his teammates.

On “Intentional Talk,” he also offered up his now-legendary NBA ref impersonation, and imitated Chris Farley imitating A’s third baseman Brett Lawrie.
