CHICAGO -- Catcher Stephen Vogt has been claimed off waivers by the Brewers, affording the longtime A's fan favorite a spot in a postseason race.
Vogt, designated for assignment by Oakland in an unexpected move Thursday, joins former A's infielder Eric Sogard in Milwaukee's hunt for a playoff berth. The Brewers entered the day half-game up on the Cubs in the National League Central.
