Troy Tulowitzki to the A’s? It makes a lot of sense

LAS VEGAS — The A’s aren’t necessarily in the market for a shortstop, but an opportunity may have just presented itself.

Hampered by injuries over the past few years, Troy Tulowitzki was released by the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday afternoon, presenting the possibility of a homecoming with the A’s.

Tulowitzki, 34, grew up in the South Bay a diehard A’s fan. After a standout career at Fremont High in Sunnyvale and Long Beach State, he quickly established himself as one of the premier shortstops in the game, finishing second in Rookie of the Year voting and even garnering MVP votes.
