When the first renderings of the Athletics’ proposed stadium in Las Vegas came out, they were universally panned. At the time, an executive for Bally’s Corporation — the operators of the stadium’s site — said, “I’m sure there will be iterations to massage.” As it turns out, according to the latest plans for the property, what got massaged out were the iconic views of the Vegas Strip.
Bally’s submitted plans to Clark County for its integrated resort that would surround the Vegas A’s stadium set to open by 2028. Some of the documents, released to the public late Wednesday, raise questions over whether there will be a clear sight line from the stadium to the Vegas Strip, especially because one part of the stadium’s rendering is explicitly labeled “STRIP VIEW.
