As if it wasn’t enough to spurn Oakland sports fans with an MLB-approved robbery of a beloved franchise, the Athletics have decided one final parting middle finger is in order: a fearmongering campaign.
In an ESPN article published Friday, A’s left fielder Seth Brown said there have been “rumblings” about what fans might do, and that the team will “have some more meetings about it.” Outfielder JJ Bleday said the message from the organization has been, “Just get on out of there,” after Thursday’s season finale, the A’s final game in Oakland before moving to West Sacramento, and ultimately to Las Vegas.
