SF Chronicle columnist says a secret MLB gag order is preventing possible A's buyers from coming forward

In a column eviscerating MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, and A’s owner John Fisher, for the lack of answers involving the soon-to-be-ex-Oakland ballclub’s move to Las Vegas, Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle unceremoniously dropped one of the most fascinating tidbits of this whole saga: A “gag order” on prospective buyers — whether they’re interested in the original franchise or an expansion team — prevents them from talking about Oakland.

The news appears just after a Manfred quote where he declares, “What happens in Oakland is between the citizens of Oakland and their elected officials.
