Seth Brown shines in Coliseum debut, as A’s top Los Angeles Angels

OAKLAND — Seth Brown’s second week in the major leagues started off as well as his first.

Making his Coliseum debut, Brown had two RBI triples — including one in the sixth inning that scored the go-ahead run — to help the A’s overcome some shaky moments from pitchers Mike Fiers and Blake Treinen and earn a 7-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday.

With the game tied 5-5, Brown tripled to right off Angels reliever Noé Ramirez to score Mark Canha from third base. Khris Davis followed that with a sacrifice fly to center to score Brown and give the A’s a 7-5 lead.
